Xerox-transfer is a method of printmaking based on the concept that oil based ink and water don't mix. Images are transfered via xerox toner from a photocopy to paper with the help of gum arabic, water, sponges, oil based ink, and of course, a printing press. -

Etching is the process of creating images on a metal plate by the corrosive action of acid. An acid resistant material (a ground) is applied to the metal, lines are "etched" into this ground via acid, and the image is transfered to paper via a process called "intaglio".
